● It is necessary to empty the fuel tank before the installation to compliance with safety rules.
● The vehicle should be parked on the flat ground.
● If no enough space on the top of the tank, remove it from the vehicle for installation.

Installation steps And Setting:
Probe Dimension:
Step 1:
Select the location for installation. The location should be close to the center of the top of the tank. The sound path should be free from any obstacles to the surface of the fuel.
Important: The mounting position is critical for ultrasonic level sensor. Please ensure that the installation area is away from fuel filler, oil gauge, internal partition, otherwise the ultrasonic wave may not reach the top of the fuel and get back with correct data.
Step 2: Drill the selected center location by electric drill between ø38-ø40mm
Step 3: Mark and drill five mounting holes with ø4.2mm drill
Step 4: Fill the tank with fuel. Put the flange gasket on the mounting holes and JUST put the TUF into tank. Then connect the digital indicator with TUF and 9-36V power supply to set the right tank height and check the installation status.
Digital Indicator Instruction:
a. When the digital indicator is mounted correctly and powered up, it shows number 8 only for a few seconds
b. Then it will show the default height value, e.g. 80cm as below:
c. Use the red and black buttons to set the actual height of the measuring tank:
• Push the red button once means +1cm
• Push the red button for a few seconds means +10cm
• Push the black button once means -1cm
• Push the black button for a few seconds means -10cm
After setting up the right height, push the red and black buttons at the same time to enter next interface.
c. Then it shows two sets of figures as the following example:
• 036.2 represents the height of the fuel is 36.2cm.
• The first 2 represents the number of echoes.
• The second 2 represents the installation status code.
If the actual echo number ≥1 and installation status code also ≥1, it is ok to proceed with the installation.
Step 5: Install the TUF into tank and fix it with screws.
Important note:
• Do not over-tighten the sensor.
• When installed, the probe should not contact the edge of the center hole.
Step 6: Connect the TUF to GPS vehicle tracker with 8m extension cable.
We suggest to wrap the joint between the TUF and extension cable with black insulating tape and tie the cables as the following example, to reinforce the connection.
